Brake Issue

The end of last year and continuing this year I've noticed that my brake lever has more travel than it used to. I used to be able to brake with one finger, but now the lever comes back so far it hits my fingers underneath. The brake still seems to work OK other than the increased travel. If I pump the brake a few times the handle seems to firm up and work pretty much like it used to. Also, near the end of last season on warmer days I noticed a little bit of brake fluid seeping out from the reservoir.

Might I have some water in the fluid? Should I go ahead and flush the fluid out with fresh brake fluid? Anything I need to know about do this?

Thanks

Well I flushed out the old fluid and filled it with fresh stuff and the brake is back to normal, at least for now.
