clutch on a 550 couger (Read 803 times)

tphin Snowmobile Enthusiast 06 apex er Posts: 147	clutch on a 550 couger 12/19/09 at 12:20pm bought a 97 550 for my daughter to start on and the primary sticks open sometimes any thuoghts,it has 3000 miles on it,i'm thinking it needs a good cleaning but i don't know alot about clutches especially arctic cat

Those older Cat clutches didn't last too long. 3000 miles could very well be all it will get especially if it has been neglected since 1997 They are much better now, my old sled has 11,000 miles and went to rebuild the clutch but there was no need to. Everything looked fine....works fine

going to take these clutches off soon now that the seasons over and was wondering if someone on here who knew how, would like a little side project rebuilding them
