PJ's let me take a F1000 for a day last year, it felt I was riding much higher in the saddle than the CF sitting position

Ride height is just a number.   It's 2 different ways to ride a sled.  They both have their place.  Point is- it's about how the weight is positioned and in turn, how the sled reacts.

Not sure which you were asking for, but my 2010 CF's seat is 30-31" off the ground.

Do you know how that compares to a f-series?

Nope, traded in my 2006 Firekitty.  I think the Crossfire has 17" of travel in the rear, 13.5" I think on the Firecat.  It may be an inch or two higher off the ground than the Firecat.  Not sure...tough to remember.

Why not just go to a dealer and measure the seat heights?  I'm sure any Cat dealer out there will have a CF and a F sled on the showroom floor.  Just a suggestion as you don't seem to be getting the info your looking for using this method.
