Sportsmans club on Saturday nights is AWSOME!!!! They also sell gas. Deans in Portage has great food. Lakeview for sunday breakfast. That place on the side of the road i think it's rt. 164 or the corner of it, and on ITS 83 in Sinclair. They sell gas, bait, tons of hard to find ice fishing gear. Can't remember the name of the place right now, but they are great, usually stop there 3 times a weekend.

Come on..What about the Birches in Rockwood?  Good spot for a "good" drink after a hard day of riding.  Usually good company in there and the food is so so I guess.  The owner is a dink, but he usually aint there anyway!

Agreed, although I missed the Bison Burger until after I already ordered.  I'm going to have one this coming season however!

Lakeview is the classic stop.  Washburn Club House for Friday stew night is also good, noted above.

I'll have to think of some other stops.

How does one get to Al's diner from off trail?I do not remember seeing any signs. Thanks  CB

When you cross the road at the Mobil, in Mars Hill heading south on the ITS83 trackbed, you are right behind it... pull off the trail and walk around the building.

Best pit stop . . . depends where I am.

I do quite a bit of local riding and when the brother in law is up eating at Zaharias' Restaurant (the old Homestead) for breakfast and dinner is usually the start and end of our day's riding.

When I'm heading north from home oftentimes I'll stop at the Bear's Den.

In the County, I always make a point to stop at Lakeview.

Oftentimes I'll stop by a Clubhouse if they're serving food . . . usually good, cheap food and you're helping a Club.

Otherwise, I'm not too picky where I eat.

Lakeview is a good time.  It is always great to see Jen and Jason.

Sporting Club is a lot of fun too and it is right across from the camp we stay at...

Man it is like the wild west up there....  There is some serious bad blood....  Z1 should be fun.  Had one last year and it was a strong runner.  Hoping this one will be better...  Let me know when you guys head up north...
